Bus

 

In Liverpool airport there are regular bus services which connect the airport with the surroundings. The most popular routes are to go and come from the airport to: Downtown Liverpool, Runcorn, Bootle, St Helens and Manchester (coach).

- Arriva 500: Airport Express, John Lennon Airport – Liverpool ONE

- Arriva 86 - 86A - 86D: Liverpool John Lennon Airport / Garston to Liverpool City Centre. 86A operates between the airport and the rail station.

- Arriva 80A: Liverpool Airport / Speke to Liverpool City Centre. It also operates between the airport and the rail station.

- Arriva 81A: Liverpool Airport / Speke to Bootle. Connects with Hunts Cross Rail Station.

- Arriva 82A - 82B: Halton Hospital to Liverpool City Centre

- Arriva 89 - 89A: St Helens to Liverpool Airport. Bus 89 links with Hunts Cross Rail Station.

- Merseytravel 883: Airport – Hunts Cross – Halewood – Netherley – Belle Vale – Huyton

 

Rail

There are many options for traveling from the airport to the region around Liverpool or to other locations in England.

 

Liverpool South Parkway Rail Station

Is the nearest rail station to Liverpool airport (2 miles away approx.) and passengers can arrive by bus or taxi. It connects with Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

 

TransPennine Express

Operates in the North of England and links with Scotland. Connects with some of the main cities as Scarborough, Leeds, York and Manchester (airport too) to Liverpool South Parkway. And also links to other destinations as Newcastle, Glasgow, Darlington, Malton, Scarborough, Hull, Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, Meadowhall, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Doncaster, Carlisle, Barrow in Furness, Blackpool, Lancaster, Bolton, Preston, Warrington, etc.

 

Liverpool Central Rail Station and Liverpool Airport

Merseyrail Hunts Cross provide regular services to local Merseyrail services and many locations throughout the country. It operates to Liverpool Central train station -in the heart of Liverpool city- and runs from Southport to Hunts Cross. The train provides 4 services per hour.

 

Liverpool Lime Street Station

This rail station connects with the UK’s main rail stations.

 

Road

North: passengers can access to the airport from the M57 and M62 motorways via the Knowsley Expressway.

South: passengers can access to the airport from M53 and M56 motorways via the A533 / Runcorn Bridge.

 

Taxi

Hackney cabs or Private Hire Taxis are available in Liverpool airport. Hackney cabs are located in Arrivals and are adapted for wheelchair service. To pick up a private taxi, please, go to the car parks.
